In this hour, we will learn about the location services available to our XNA programs from the Windows Phone’s GPS receiver. GPS stands for Global Positioning System. Originally developed by the U.S. Department of Defense, GPS is now so widely used that many people and services have come to rely on GPS for their livelihoods. WP7 has a GPS receiver, so location information is available in the hardware.
