Understanding Action Center
Previous versions of Windows report information about system security and maintenance in various locations in the Control Panel and elsewhere, such as Security Center, Windows Firewall, and Windows Backup. In Windows 7, Microsoft decided to create a single location for managing system security and maintenance settings: Action Center.
With Action Center, you can not only determine whether there are system security or maintenance issues to deal with, but you can also solve some problems directly from the Action Center dialog.
