Understanding Google AdSense
If you want your website to generate revenue, the most common approach is to enable advertising on your site. Since you’re (probably) not in the business of selling ad space, you need to partner with an advertising network that brokers space between advertisers and host websites. The ad network will place ads on your site, sell those ads to interested advertisers, and split the advertising revenue with you.
