Undergoing a name change to NetWeaver Portal, SAP EP enables a user community or teams within the community the opportunity to collaborate—to work closely with one another by sharing applications and documents, communicating in a targeted fashion (through IM or online discussions), and working in a virtual team environment. EP does this through the use of iViews, Collaboration Rooms, and its single point of entry to back-end SAP and non-SAP systems.
