Creating and Using Customized Site Templates
If you are not satisfied with the functionality of the default site templates or you want to create a large number of “branded” sites with company logos, default content, and the like, you do have the option of creating and customizing your own site template that can be used in the creation of future sites. Once you set it up, the template will show up as an option when you create any new site, making it easy for you to easily create multiple sites with the exact content you desire.
To set up a customized site template, you must first export an existing site to a Site Template file (.stp). To do this, follow these steps:
