Basic and Web Part Pages allow you to customize your site's data delivery to your users. You can leverage existing website information by putting it into Basic Pages, or you can customize specific information presented with a Web Part Page. In addition, designing the proper zones for your Web Part Page will help you align the content to display it in a more effective way for your users. Understanding how these types of pages can be created and used is subsequently an important part of being a Site Administrator.
