Recording and Playing Back Sound
From time to time, you may have the need to record sound from a microphone and save it to a digital file in Fedora Core 4 that you'll be able to play back later. Naturally, to start, you need to have a microphone plugged into the microphone jack of your computer. When you have a microphone handy and plugged in, recording sound is easy.
To start the sound recorder application in Fedora Core 4, choose GNOME Menu, Sound & Video, Sound Recorder. The Sound Recorder application starts, as shown in Figure 15.14.
