Summary

In this chapter, you learned to use the open-source Firefox web browser to browse the Web and manage a list of your favorite websites.

You learned to perform each of the following tasks:

  • Load and display a new web page

  • Save your favorite websites as bookmarks

  • Organize your list of bookmarks and the Bookmarks menu

  • Create tabs to hold multiple web pages and delete tabs

  • Disable pop-up ads and scripts that manipulate your browser windows while browsing the Web

Because of the importance of the World Wide Web in day-to-day work, these tasks are likely to become some of the most familiar to you as you use Fedora Core 4.
