In this chapter, you learned to use the basic features of another commonly used OpenOffice.org application, OpenOffice.org Calc—a full-featured and powerful electronic spreadsheet. You have now learned to do the following:

  • Navigate an electronic spreadsheet and identify and select specific cells

  • Enter text labels into cells and adjust their appearance

  • Enter numeric values into cells and change their format for more attractive output

  • Enter formulas to perform calculations based on numeric data in other cells in the spreadsheet

  • Find and use functions within your formulas
