Summary

In this chapter, you booted for the first time into your new Fedora Core 4 Linux computer system. You answered a few final configuration questions posed by Fedora Core 4, and then you did the following:

  • Learned how to tell Fedora Core 4 to use a language other than English when communicating with you

  • Learned how to shut down or restart your system

  • Added a printer to your Fedora Core 4 system

  • Configured Fedora Core 4 to use your modem to dial your ISP for Internet service

  • Learned how to connect to and disconnect from your ISP if you are a dial-up user

Your system is now fully configured, and you are ready to begin using and learning about Linux. On to adventure!
