Pinging Categories
Up to now everything we've been doing has been focused on pinging individual entries, but Movable Type also allows a different kind of TrackBack pinging. You can allow categories in a weblog to receive pings, too. That may sound a little strange at first. Why would someone want to ping a category instead of a particular entry? To answer that question you need to understand a different type of TrackBack application.
