Understanding TrackBack
TrackBack is a standardized method of communication that Web sites can use to send and receive notifications to and from one another. These notifications are called “pings,” and they're generally used to alert the receiving site of a relationship between a resource it contains and another resource on the site sending the notification. The most common use of TrackBack is essentially as a remote commenting system.
