Part 1. At a Glance

During Week 1, you learn many of the concepts of DB2 Universal Database. Later in the week, you learn how to install a server and a client and how to set up the communications between the two separate machines. The last lesson of the week teaches you to set up your system to be secure. Here’s a day-by-day summary of Week 1:

    This lesson focuses on the many products that make up DB2 Universal Database version 8. The concepts of server and client are defined, and the role of the administration tools is discussed. You also learn how you can use the Internet, ODBC, or Java applications to access data in DB2 databases.
