Summary

In today's lesson, you were introduced to common email protocols and the main packages and classes of JavaMail API. Building on this, you saw how to write code that performed a number of day-to-day email tasks, such as sending, retrieving and deleting messages, authenticating users, and sending and retrieving attachments. Finally you studied adding JavaMail resource references to J2EE components for accessing a JavaMail Session object inside the J2EE environment.
