Today's lesson covered the concepts of the Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI). You started the day studying the concepts of naming and directory services. You also looked at the life cycle of a JNDI application and the steps for writing the server- and client-side parts of a JNDI application. After this you studied the important classes and interfaces in the JNDI API that are part of the javax.naming package and are used by client applications and server objects to interact with a naming service.
