Configuring a Virtual Host for Your Application

Mapping one or more IP addresses to a name is called virtual host mapping. To do this, Dynamic Naming Service (DNS) is used. When you configure a virtual host for your application, your server or cluster responds to the host name that you configure.

You can configure your virtual host from the administration server. This is done through the Services node after logging on to the administration console of your WebLogic Server. The Services node displays a set of services, including virtual hosts.
