Q1:Mail is bouncing back to me with an error of "Cannot resolve hostname". What do I do?
A1: Make sure that your FreeBSD machine has a valid reverse DNS lookup record. Type nslookup 111.112.113.114, using your machine's IP address instead of 111.112.113.114. If you don't get your machine's correct hostname back, talk to your network administrator and get the reverse DNS record fixed (generally by making sure that there is a valid record for your machine's IP address that points to resolvable hostname).
Q2:I added some aliases to /etc/mail/aliases, but sending mail to those addresses doesn't obey the aliases I set up.
A2: You need to regenerate the alias database. Go into /etc/mail and type make aliases, or use the newaliases command.
