Installing the New Kernel

After the build process is complete and you have the command prompt back, the new kernel has been built, but it is not yet actually installed. Installing the new kernel is the focus of this section.

After you install the new kernel, you will need to reboot the system for the new kernel to actually be loaded and start running the system.
