Summary

Today you learned how to make your applications global. By using a combination of the CultureInfo class of the System.Globalization namespace and the Visual Studio .NET IDE, you can very easily create world-class globalized applications.

If you need to work in teams, using only the Visual Studio .NET IDE might not be the best alternative. Using a tool such as WinRes enables you to spread the creation of locale-specific resource files to other developers.

The goal is to write language- and culture-neutral applications, and using the tools provided by Visual Studio .NET makes this possible.
