Networking with NDS
NDS has changed quite a bit over the last couple of years; its latest incarnation is called eDirectory. eDirectory can live on multiple flavors of UNIX (Linux and Solaris), as well as Windows 2000, although Novell still recommends its NetWare operating system as the best platform for it.
Great. So it can run on a lot of server platforms, making troubleshooting more complicated. How wonderful. But let’s cut to the chase; while bearing in mind that the platform might always be an issue, let’s first dive into what NDS does.
