UNIX Functionality Overview

Let’s take a 20,000-foot view of how most UNIX servers are configured. Yes, they have the capability to act as file and print “share” servers, just the way Windows servers do, and you can connect your Windows drive letters or printers to a UNIX box. But just as Windows NT has client/server apps (such as SQL Server) in addition to file and print services, so too does UNIX.
