Using Oracle 8

Oracle 8 and Oracle 9 have a management tool called Enterprise Manager. One of the tools in Enterprise Manager is the SQL Worksheet, which enables you to manually enter SQL for execution. Here's how to use this tool:

1.
Launch Oracle Enterprise Manager, and select SQL Worksheet.
2.
You'll be prompted for login information. Provide a user name and password and connect to the database server.
3.
The SQL Worksheet screen is divided into two panes. Type your SQL in the lower pane.
4.
To execute the SQL statement, click the Execute button (the one with the picture of the lightning bolt). Results will be displayed in the upper pane.
