Hour 24. Additional Markup Languages

If the quality of an idea is measured by how universally it can be applied, the idea of the markup language is clearly of the highest quality. Besides HTML and XML, additional markup languages are being proposed at a rapid rate for everything from mathematics to real estate. There's even one for human resources.

To keep you abreast of current developments, this hour discusses some of the markup languages that are currently available or in the draft/standards stage.

When a markup language is created, a set of tags is defined that's used to produce the documents. This set of tags is known as the vocabulary of the language. You're already familiar with the vocabulary of HTML, of course.
