Q1:Why is it possible for Active Server Page files to create and modify files, but it's not allowed in HTML files on the client?
A1: The ASP file is originated on the server and creates the files in storage managed by the server. Since the server manager is in control of everything, it's equivalent to a standalone program running on a computer. An HTML file is downloaded from a server to the client and runs on the client machine. This is considered to be unsafe and is prevented by the security features of the browsers. (At least most of the time.)
