As has been mentioned many times in this book, XSL provides a very rich set of functionality that can be used to manipulate XML data. So far, this book's approach has been to give you the background material needed to construct a dynamic, data-driven Web site. This, the last hour devoted to the essentials before you begin building the site, will present a complete list of the methods available.

It will also spend some time recapitulating the Document Object Model, or DOM, as it's applied to XML. After presenting the model, lists of the available properties and methods for each level of the model will be given.
