Using Options in the XSL Templates to Create Selective Data Extractions

The data extractions in the previous hour are the simplest ones to perform. When the template acts on the data in the XML file, it simply goes through the data sequentially and displays the data values of all the nodes whose names are in the selection criteria. In practice, this is rarely done. The power of database operations is that you can examine the data set and select only those values that fit some precise set of criteria.
