Summary

In previous lessons, your data extractions involved creating custom code to read the data in your XML file. The Data Source Object can be used to read the data—once it's linked to an XML file, it understands the structure of that file.

In this lesson, the DSO object was used to read the data from XML files of increasing complexity. In all cases, the DATASRC and DATAFLD options were used in the HTML code to define the targets of the data assignments. In the more complex cases, HTML tables were defined as the containers for the data.
