In figuring out when to use ActiveX controls, you need to consider a number of things. One of them is who your audience is. This is important because the user must have an application that can run the ActiveX control. As mentioned earlier, a Visual Basic Standard EXE and Internet Explorer both natively support ActiveX controls.
