Day 14. Best Practices and Other Services

Today we cover a number of miscellaneous topics that either do not fit into the other days or are designed to meet specific system requirements not used in our sample application.

We will discuss interacting with other systems. Using COM TI to interact with mainframe systems, such as CICS and IMS. Using Microsoft Message Queue to provide asynchronous communication between processes. Using BizTalk to send XML based messages between systems across the Internet. Using Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) for distributed object communication via the Internet. And finally, we will conclude with a discussion of Visual Studio.NET.
