Configuring COM+ Application

The MTS Explorer used to place COM components into MTS has been replaced by the COM+ Component Services snap-in, used to configure all COM+ components.

The COM+ Component Services snap-in allows the management of components and component applications including

  • Creating, deleting, or exporting an application

  • Adding or deleting one or more components in an existing application

  • Changing an application's properties, including its description, security settings, and identity and activation type

  • Monitoring transaction statistics

The MTS term package has been replaced in COM+ by the term application.
