Microsoft's Push to Be a Leader in XML

Microsoft has built XML capabilities into every 2000 product. At the base of all of the 2000 product releases is Windows 2000 which has native XML support. The XML sub-system is constantly being updated to support the emerging standards and to improve performance. Within Microsoft's line of servers, all of them are being updated to work with XML as a native data transport and storage format. Internally within a Microsoft system you can expect that XML is to be the preferred data format for interoperability between the server products.
