Summary

Today's lesson taught you how to add transactional support to your COM components. This included placing the components in a transaction and then enabling them to complete or abort. You gained an understanding of the importance of this in business and data processes. If two business processes are dependent upon one another, you certainly can't have one business transaction occur and another not occur. You also looked at how to update and monitor your components in Microsoft Transaction Server. Finally, you saw how to raise errors and saw some guidelines for using your components.
