Day 8. Introduction to COM and MTS

On Day 7, "Database Transactions and Distributed Transaction Coordinator," you were introduced to Microsoft's Distributed Transaction Coordinator and Transaction Server (MTS). Today, you learn about MTS and the Component Object Model (COM). COM is the cornerstone of all Windows DNA development and thus important to understand. All of Microsoft's development tools are COM aware, which makes it extremely easy to develop COM components.
