Exploring DSN-Less Connections

DSN-less connections are similar to the File DSNs. After you create the File DSN, your application has the necessary connection string information to contact the Database. It no longer needs the settings in the ODBC Administrator. The application looks at the file where the DSN information is stored. Similarly, a DSN-less connection is a connection where all the necessary information is entered directly into the application, by-passing the ODBC Administrator altogether.
