Understanding Error Messages Generated by Your ODBC Driver
As mentioned in the last section, not all errors displayed by ColdFusion come directly from ColdFusion Server. The program also passes on a second variety of errors—those errors that come from other components, such as your ODBC driver.
Although these errors are displayed the same way as ColdFusion syntax errors, it's important to understand that they are generated by your ODBC components rather than ColdFusion itself. Read your error messages carefully—ColdFusion will tell you whether an error comes from an ODBC component, as illustrated in all the following examples.
