Constructing an Administration Section

The administration section of your site is where you or the store's administrator will enter specific information on products (name, quantity in stock, shipping weight, stock number, and so on). From a developer's standpoint, a store's administration section is nothing more than a series of forms designed to input data into a database. By using form techniques discussed in Days 7, "Changing the Contents of a Database with ColdFusion," and 12, "Using Advanced Form Techniques to Manage Input," you can create an interface that's easy for you or other administrators to navigate.
