Using <CFMAIL>

The first <CFMAIL> tag you configure will be the toughest. It might take a little fiddling to get some of the parameters working with your system's mail server, but, when you know the drill, you'll be using it like a pro.

Note

Due to the proliferation of spamming, many system administrators now keep their SMTP servers under extremely tight security. This means that the mail server will be very picky about the address you designate as FROM in your <CFMAIL> tags. It will likely have to be a user and domain that is authorized to send mail from your server.

<CFMAIL> accepts the parameters shown in Table 13.1.
