Constructing Your First Templates

You've been mulling over your client's vision of the site, and have decided that the whole thing can be constructed with two ColdFusion template pages—how's that for economy? The first page, the home or index page, will query the database for all records and list the calls as a series of links running down the page. When a user clicks one of these links, he or she is taken to your second template, a details page that shows a longer description of the selected call. In Web jargon, this is called a drill-down application.

A drill-down application is one that presents a list of items on one page and uses another page to show a more detailed view of a selected item.
