How the Fields Are Used
Move the cursor to the Material field and click the Field Level Help button on the toolbar. (See Lesson 2, "Using the SAP R/3 Interface," for information on toolbar buttons.) SAP R/3 displays a dialog box that tells you how to use the field (see Figure 3.6).

Sometimes SAP R/3 uses fields in different ways for different kinds of records.
