Hour 21. C Programming in UNIX
This hour introduces you to the wonderful set of tools available for developing programs in the C programming language within the UNIX environment. C is the most commonly used language for programming UNIX systems. Other common languages are C++ and Perl; but C is the oldest, and many of the most fundamental UNIX concepts are derived from the language. I'll be showing you a small C program to help make FTP easier to use and demonstrating all the UNIX tools available to ease development and testing. If you have some basic programming skills, you'll like what I've written, but even if not, I'll explain everything carefully and be sure not to lose you.
