From the Personal Setup page, you can personalize your application to better suit the way you look at and manage your business. And if you capitalize on the tools available to you in Salesforce, you can give yourself an edge against the competition and your peers.

In this chapter, we describe how to modify your settings by using Personal Setup, change your display, and access Salesforce anytime, anywhere from popular devices and programs.

Using the Personal Setup Menu

Personal Setup, accessible from the Setup link when you log in to Salesforce, is a set of tools and options that you can use to set up and customize Salesforce according to your individual preferences. You can decide to only show certain tabs, synchronize your Salesforce data with Outlook, and connect with Salesforce wirelessly.

Salesforce makes it easy for you to better personalize your system by providing all your setup tools in one area.

To locate and navigate your Personal Setup area, follow these steps:
