When I work with clients who want to transition into sales or from one area of sales/marketing to another, I make sure they first do their homework: perform research, talk to people, and find out what’s really involved in the type of sales job they’re targeting. Then, together, we look at their background for evidence that they have the fundamental skills necessary for success in sales.
