Chapter 19

Tackling the Complicated Stuff

In This Chapter

arrow Sending data out

arrow Bringing data in

arrow Using the Accountant Link

arrow Banking electronically

arrow Managing paperwork with Document Manager

When you’re confident that you’ve got to grips with the day-to-day mechanics of the Sage system, you can tackle some of the more advanced options that Sage offers.

The extras I explain in this chapter include the ability to extract data from Sage, make changes within a spreadsheet to that data and then import those changes back into Sage. You can also discover how to relay information to your accountant with minimum disruption to your data and your day-to-day workings with it.

I also look at the impact of using e-Banking to speed up the processing of banking transactions and how the Document Manager can help you organise your paperwork – electronic and hard copy.

Becoming competent with any of the techniques discussed in this chapter will make you justifiably proud of yourself – so get to it!
