Measuring Performance of Intangible Assets

This chapter is about the persistent challenge to improve the financial and competitive-advantage health of their companies, which must start by fashioning relevant means to measure the contributory value and performance of intangible assets. Conventional forms of measuring financial performance, such as financial statements and balance sheets, are not specifically designed to capture the qualitative aspects found in the identification and effective and efficient use of a company’s intangible assets.
