Preface
On behalf of the entire Scaled Agile, Inc., team and the SAFe contributors, it is our personal pleasure to introduce you to SAFe® 4.0 Distilled: Applying the Scaled Agile Framework for Lean Software and Systems Engineering.
It seems like only yesterday, but it was back in 2011 that we launched V1.0 of the Scaled Agile Framework. We did so without much fanfare, as we were a brand-new company, and we certainly had no marketing department. The earliest release had a simple Big Picture and only abstracts, which we scrambled madly to fulfill info full-fledged articles in the few months after launch. But the website was free, and it was useful.
Fast forward to today. Now SAFe Version 4.0 (soon to be 4.5; yes, you heard that here first!)—now ...
