Chapter 1. Why Windows on the Mac?

Chances are you know folks who are really into the operating system on their computer. They can explain it to you in loving, but excruciating, detail. You might even take advantage of their expertise when trying to buy a computer. But you’re also apt to avoid them at parties!

You, on the other hand, are a bit more pragmatic. You are aware that some programs that are stellar on one operating system may not even be available for another. I am a good example of that type of person. I write a blog, and I love using Microsoft’s Windows Live Writer to compose and edit my entries. However, I also love my MacBook, but Microsoft doesn’t make a version of Windows Live Writer for the Mac.
