Updating the Environment

This chapter provides an overview for updating the distributed server environment with more current versions of the operating systems and subsystems.

As discussed in previous chapters, the software versions and levels will be the IBM Recommended Service Upgrade (RSU). Although quarterly RSU maintenance for the operating system and subsystems is sufficient for most development teams, the process in this chapter will be useful regardless of the timing for maintenance.
