Logging Out

You can log out of your session using any of the following methods:

  • Use the Log Out menu.

  • Use the Shift-Logging Out-Q keystroke combination while using any application.

When you use either of these methods, the system displays a dialog box making sure that you really want to quit. If you don’t want to see this dialog box, hold down the Option key while using the menu item or use the Option-Shift-Logging Out-Q key combination.

When you log out, all programs that you started while logged in quit automatically (if you haven’t already quit them). However, if an application window has unsaved changes, you will be prompted to save those changes first before the application quits.
