In the early days of our adventure Don Clausing of MIT gave us two fundamental gifts. He gave us a “wake-up call” with the perspective that we were learning well from ourselves but not from others. The processes and practices of our competitors were far ahead of ours, driving us to catch up fast. Second, he introduced us to many thought leaders and practitioners from whom we learned much. That essential learning process continues.
