Just as we used pages to organize a large process into mini routines, blocks may be used to group data items of the same type together. When you were adding inputs and outputs to both pages and action stages, Blue Prism automatically created the data items and placed them on the canvas. As we build the process, the data items will be scattered all over the page, making it very hard to look for them.
As a best practice, we organize the data items using blocks. It does not change the behavior of the process or alter it in any way. The blocks merely add visual appeal to the process diagram, making it easier to read and maintain.
